How to Grow Carnations

• Get a fresh bouquet of carnations. Get your friend to send them to you :)
• Look at the main stems, and find a branch growing from one of them. It must be at least four inches long. Gently pluck this branch from its stem.
• Remove all the leaves from the branch, and insert it into a pot of moist sand.
• Ensure that the sand remains moist at all times. Moist is different from soaking wet.
• Set in a space with lots of sunlight (minimum six hours).
• For faster growth add some compost manure.
• Let grow for one month, before replanting into a larger container.
• This process works for any color carnation, and can be replanted into your garden, or left in the potting container for interior decorating.
