How to Grow Carnations
These flowers are really easy to grow, and you do not need seeds.
Get a fresh bouquet of carnations. Get your friend to send them to you :)
Look at the main stems, and find a branch growing from one of them. It must be at least four inches long. Gently pluck this branch from its stem.
Remove all the leaves from the branch, and insert it into a pot of moist sand.
Ensure that the sand remains moist at all times. Moist is different from soaking wet.
Set in a space with lots of sunlight (minimum six hours).
For faster growth add some compost manure.
Let grow for one month, before replanting into a larger container.
This process works for any color carnation, and can be replanted into your garden, or left in the potting container for interior decorating.
